Transforming Parramatta Quay with the Award-Winning Escarpment Boardwalk

The Parramatta Escarpment Boardwalk is a 3.5m wide pedestrian and cyclist path along the Parramatta River foreshore. Douglas Partners provided innovative geotechnical solutions to maintain the natural appearance of the steep Ashfield Shale escarpment. Completed in March 2021, it has since won multiple awards, including the 2023 Good Design Award® Gold Winner for its seamless integration into the natural landscape.
