Arthur is a Principal Geotechnical Engineer and Branch Manager of Douglas Partners Geelong office. He holds an MEng degree in Civil Engineering and is a Chartered Engineer (IEAust). He has over 20 years experience in working on geotechnical and environmental projects in Australia, the UK and UAE.
Since 2010 Arthur has worked on many projects for Douglas Partners, starting his Douglas Partners career as a Senior Associate. These include projects from small scale footing inspections through to planning and running large geotechnical investigations. He has prepared factual and interpretive geotechnical reports for many sites in Victoria including residential, commercial, infrastructure and marine projects.
Arthur’s experience includes slope stability assessments, the provision of geotechnical tender and detailed design advice for several infrastructure projects, pavement designs and working platform designs. He also has experience with derivation of pile design parameters and capacities, site and earthquake classifications, vibration monitoring, plate load testing, solar farm pile load testing, electrical resistivity testing, infiltrometer testing and groundwater monitoring.
In 2018, Arthur won the Don Douglas Award for his work on the Princes Highway West Project.
In 2023, Arthur was promoted from Senior Associate to Principal.
