Brett has over 20 years consulting experience in geotechnical engineering and earthworks. Based on the Sunshine Coast, he has worked on projects throughout South-East, Central and Western Queensland. Brett is a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) and a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng).
Brett has been responsible for the planning and coordination of various methods of geotechnical, geophysical and environmental field work, followed by the interpretation of insitu and laboratory test results, analysis and reporting for a wide variety of geotechnical investigations, risk and hazard assessments, acid sulfate soils investigations, construction monitoring and advice.
Brett’s comprehensive experience and technical advice has assisted developers, local and state governments, engineering and consulting firms, and contractors on a wide range of projects which include small to large scale residential, commercial and industrial buildings; hospitals; residential, rural and major arterial roads, highways and industrial pavements; railways; bridges; water and sewer infrastructure; residential and industrial subdivisions; communication towers; transmission lines and electrical substations; solar farms; defence; gas and mining infrastructure; dams; slope stability risk assessments and remediation works; earthworks inspection and testing, construction monitoring and advice; vibration monitoring; acid sulfate soils.
Brett is also the Branch Manager of Douglas Partners’s Sunshine Coast office.
