Dave Evans is a Principal of Douglas Partners Pty Ltd and is the Laboratory Quality Manager. He is the corporate representative for the laboratory management system and is responsible for maintaining Douglas Partners NATA accreditation, authorisation and control of the Laboratory Management Manual and implementing the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025.
Dave has completed Cert IV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Laboratory Technology and has completed several NATA training courses including Quality Management in the Laboratory, understanding 17025, internal audits and the Technical Assessors program.
Dave is a NATA Technical Assessor and authorised signatory for a wide range of soils, aggregate, concrete and pavement testing. Dave is also a member of the NATA Accreditation Advisory Committee for Geotechnical and Civil Construction Materials.
Dave started working with Douglas Partners on the Cullerin Range Deviation in 1991 and has over 30 years’ experience with Douglas Partners. Dave has had involvement in many large scale projects in Earthworks and laboratory testing having worked on many earthworks projects from both regional bases and on-site laboratories, including subdivisions, dams, airports, ports, mine sites, quarries and large scale road projects.
Dave has had involvement in the bulk earthworks and Geotechnical testing and investigation for most of the major residential and commercial subdivisions that have been constructed in the Illawarra region over the past 25 years, including Bulli Brickworks, Edgewood Estate, Shell Cove Estate, Redgum Ridge, Tullimbar Village, Vista Park and Calderwood Valley.
His broad range of experience also includes testing and inspections on smaller projects including, residential and commercial projects, trench backfill, driveways and quality control testing of quarry materials, also quality control testing of concrete. He is also accredited for testing on Sydney Water Projects.
