For the third consecutive year, we hosted our “Consulting Women at Douglas” event, an initiative dedicated to fostering a supportive environment for female engineers and leaders within our company.
This annual gathering provides a crucial space for discussing the unique challenges women face in the engineering and consulting sectors, empowering them to develop strategies to thrive in traditionally male-dominated fields.
The event agenda featured practical workshops led by experts like Annie Sophia Larkin from Franklin Covey, on developing effective consulting mindsets, navigating complex conversations with colleagues, clients, managers and refining individual strengths. Liz and Amy guided further discussions on workplace dynamics, strategies for balancing courage and consideration, and ways to support our female talents in their growth journey.
By embracing these conversations, we aim to reinforce our commitment to gender diversity and inclusion in engineering. Through initiatives like this, we aim to build an inclusive workplace that leverages diverse perspectives and experiences.
We remain dedicated to continuously improve inclusion and parity within our industry, recognizing that increased gender diversity strengthens both our team and the broader industry.
