Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport Stations

Sydney, NSW is embarking on a transformative journey with the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport Stations, Systems, Trains, Operation, and Maintenance (SSTOM) project, an initiative set to redefine urban transit infrastructure.

The SSTOM project is a component of the larger Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport project, and includes the construction of six new metro stations, installation of tracks, signalling, and mechanical/electrical systems, supply of new driverless trains, and the establishment of a stabling and maintenance facility at Orchard Hills. It also involves operation, maintenance, and eventual handback of the line and its assets at the project’s conclusion.

Sydney Metro is Australia’s biggest public transport project. This new metro rail will serve as the transportation backbone for Greater Western Sydney, linking communities and travellers with the new Western Sydney International Airport and the rapidly developing region.
